On Sunday, 8^th January 2023 The Annual Sports Tournament of Kern- Liebers India was inaugurated. Pooja was offered to Gods blessings of Goddess Durga was sought for the success of the Tournament. Mr. Dattatray Nagale- MD of KL India, Mr. Govindaraju NS- Head of HR, Mr. Vivek Kudva- Head of Operations and Mr. Ponnuchamy- Head of Quality along with the Sports Committee Members, Employees and their Family members were present during the Inauguration. The event was kicked off with the dignitaries getting introduced to the players of the first Cricket match of the Tournament and then playing deliveries themselves.

CRICKET, VOLLEYBALL, CARROM, CHESS, THROWBALL and few Games Exclusively for Ladies were planned for this year’s Tournament. We saw a combined attendance of 600 and a total of 417 participants in the Tournament. All the games were conducted as per schedule and the Final of the Cricket Tournament was held on Sunday, 22^nd Jan as planned.

16 Cricket Teams, 9 Volleyball Teams, 36 participants for Carrom Singles and 40 for Doubles, 26 participants for Chess Tournament enrolled themselves apart from the 17 Female participants for Throwball, and other games conducted exclusively for ladies. In all 115 matches/ games were played resulting in 58 Winners.

The Tournament was played with utmost Enthusiasm by the employees. This also helped in bringing together different functions under one roof. During the 20^th Quarterly Communication Meeting held on 25^th Jan 2023, all the winners were presented with trophies and mementos for their achievements.
