Stamping and bending
In addition to the stamping and bending process itself, the additional operations we can offer include
- Laser welding
- Resistance welding
- Riveting
- Caulking
- Pressing
- Clipping
- Clinching
- Wobble riveting
- Embossing
Other process steps such as washing, 100% quality inspection, labeling, oiling and packaging can be implemented to customer specification using fully automated all-in systems.
KERN-LIEBRS offers
- Support during definition of the design
- B-sample production with close-to-production processes and auxiliary tools in a short time
- Tool design and manufacture
- High volume production, including fully automatic downstream testing
Our range
- Width: Up to 150 mm
- Thickness: Up to 3 mm
- Stamping force: Up to 80 tons
- Made from flat-rolled materials such as:
- DC grades
- Carbon steel grades
- Stainless steel
- Aluminum alloys
- Wrought copper alloys
- Pre-coated material
In the manufacture of closed sleeves using stamping processes, material use is a significant cost factor. In some cases, only 10% of the strip material would be able to be used.
KERN-LIEBERS pursues a material-saving approach in which flat strip is bent into a sleeve. After separation, the sleeve can be closed using a welding process (laser welding or resistance welding).
For the subsequent processing that then takes place, the full range of KERN-LIEBERS production technology, including all precision machining and heat treatment processes, is available to finish the parts.
